I am a sociologist and social services professional based in Finland, with broad interests in how migration, education, work and institutions shape people’s opportunities, professional trajectories and sense of belonging.

My main areas of interest include professional recognition, inequality, social inclusion, international mobility, and how institutions and national contexts value knowledge, qualifications, and experience. I am particularly interested in the relationship between formal structures and everyday experience. This includes how policies and professional standards are interpreted in practice, how individuals navigate systems of recognition and employment, and how wider social inequalities appear in educational and working environments.

In addition to my professional work, I have participated in international educational and youth initiatives across Europe, particularly in migration and refugee inclusion, intercultural learning, democratic participation, human rights, social inclusion, and professional development. These experiences have enabled me to collaborate with youth workers, educators, civil society organisations, and professionals from diverse cultural and institutional backgrounds.

More broadly, I am interested in how societies respond to mobility and diversity, whose knowledge and experience are recognised, and how institutions can either reproduce inequalities or create more inclusive pathways for participation and belonging.
